The Treehouse explores an unlikely bond between a brooding young boy and a mysterious girl. Matt (Joshua Hunter Magers) has just attended his mother’s funeral and is unsure how to return to his normal life. But when Angela (Jacqueline Scislowski) offers him a chance to escape, he listens skeptically to her grand claims of being an alien from outer space. She tells him about the spaceship inside her treehouse and the planet that she hopes to reach. A planet of departed souls. A chance for Matt to see his mom once again.
