“How can one be indeed near unless he be far?” quoted from the The Prophet’s last poem The Farewell by the Lebanese poet Kahlil Gibran. The film questions what is real freedom through Yen’s remaining life. It combined a surreal and experimental style to describe Yen, who is at the end of his life and wants to fulfill his dream of wandering away from home before he dies. The director Chiayun Wu made the film in memory of her godfather who has passed away in 2008.
