AT SEA THERE IS NO HAVEN / Wim Jonsedijk

An experiment in cinematic poetry – live action images against an animated backdrop – about love, family relations, intimacy and memory. The starting point of the film is a half-forgotten, personal memory of the filmmaker’s father who crashed the sportscar he just bought for his wife. A relatively minor event that had a great impact on the filmmakers (in)ability for intimacy and personal growth. A poetic shortfilm in which a faded memory is being restored with new splendour. A film that will open your mind.
